Time tracking & attendance

Applies to version 26.99.5

Workers check in and out by scanning a project QR code on their phone. REDZ.BUILD records the time, location and a selfie, then flags anything unusual for a manager to review.

How check-in works

Scan the QR

Each project has its own QR code that identifies the site.

Take a selfie

A selfie is captured at check-in to confirm who is on site.

Confirm location

GPS is checked against the project geofence, where one is set.

Check out

Scanning out closes the shift and records the duration.

Smart flags for review

Shifts are recorded automatically, but anything worth a second look is flagged so you can review it — you don't police every shift by hand.

Time that gets paid

  • On-site minutes from check-in to check-out, minus an unpaid break.
  • Inter-site travel can be credited, based on your settings.
  • Time beyond standard hours flows into overtime in payroll.
Tip
A shift left open is auto-closed after a long cut-off and flagged, so a forgotten check-out never runs forever.

Frequently asked questions

A phone to scan the project QR code, permission to take a selfie, and ideally location enabled so the geofence can confirm they are on site.

An open shift is automatically closed after a long cut-off and flagged for review, so it never accrues endlessly.

Yes. Managers can adjust check-in/out times, move a shift to another project, or delete a duplicate — every edit is itself flagged for transparency.
