Inventory operations
Applies to version 26.99.5
Inventory tracks stock as a ledger of movements across your storage locations.
Movement types
| Movement | Effect |
|---|---|
| Receive | Adds stock — from a purchase or manually. |
| Issue | Removes stock — typically to a project. |
| Adjust | A manual correction up or down. |
| Transfer | Moves stock between two locations. |
Current stock for an item at a location is simply the sum of its movements. Movements can be tagged to a project and subobject, so material usage ties back to the job.
Receiving from a purchase
1
Record the purchase
With itemized catalog lines.
2
Receive into stock
This creates receive movements for those items.
3
Reverse if needed
Reversing removes those movements so you can receive again cleanly.
Low / negative stock
Issuing more than you hold drives stock negative — the dashboard highlights how many positions are negative so you can reorder. There are no automatic reorder alerts.
