Check-in & selfies

Applies to version 26.99.5

Check-in is designed to take seconds on a phone while still proving who worked, when and where.

What happens on a scan

1
Worker scans the project QR
The code identifies the site and signs them in if needed.
2
Allow location
Best-effort GPS lets the geofence confirm they are on site.
3
Take a selfie
Required at check-in; it is attached to the shift for the manager.
4
Done
The shift opens. Scanning again later checks them out.

What gets flagged

FlagWhy
Outside geofenceGPS was beyond the project radius.
GPS missing / low accuracyLocation was unavailable or imprecise.
No selfieA selfie wasn't captured.
New deviceFirst check-in from this phone.
Device recognition
The first check-in from a given phone is flagged as a new device. After that it is remembered, so repeat scans from the same phone are not flagged.

Frequently asked questions

A selfie is required at check-in. Check-out selfies are optional; a missing one is simply flagged.

The check-in still works; the shift is flagged as missing GPS and the geofence check is skipped for that scan.
